Dirty water
If you are stuck with no water at all, you can pop a vitamin and drink dirty water, you won't get sick. Your "digestion" of the water must end before the pill effect end.
Cooking
Always dry or smoke your food. A dry bag can dry you veggies and fruit. A smoker for the meats. If your food is dried it doesn't rot.
